Our standard single breasted frock coat is based on the original worn by Dixon Conn who was wounded while wearing his frock coat. The original frock is housed in the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh accession number H.1965.78.1.
This coat features our sumac woolen jean cloth two piece sleeves, one interior pocket in the right breast lining, osnaburg lining in body and lucius lining in the skirt . Per the original there are no pockets in the tail of this coat.
A blank includes the assembled pieces and instructions for finishing the garment. You will need to hand stitch the back tail of the frock inside and outside with whip stitching, work the button holes, sew on the buttons and topstitch the jacket if you choose to. Buttons and thread are not included but are available for an additional charge.
