Made of our custom run reproduction English Army Cloth. The wool fiber was selected, the fiber was dyed, spun into yarn, woven and finished specifically for this reproduction cloth. In making this reproduction we did not overlook the importance of wool selection. We chose wool fiber that would give the fabric the proper hand when finished rather than the hand of modern men's suiting. It is made of a mix of blue and white 100% wool. It matches the weight required in the period contracts per Richard Milstead’s research. Properly finished to hold a raw cut edge.

Blanks are garments that are completely put together, but with no button holes or top stitching. A blank is wearable when you receive it. It is not a bundle of pieces that have to be sorted out and joined together. You will know that a blank is a fit before doing a lot of work on it only to find it does not fit and cannot be returned. It is enough for many customers to put their effort in the hand finishing of the garment.
