This overshot coverlet has been faithfully reproduced from a 19th
century example that was originally woven in White County, TN by Catherine (Kitty) Hudgens Lowery circa 1840. Woven by Pat Kline of Family Heirloom Weavers in Red Lion, PA exclusively for Tartex Textiles this coverlet was woven on blanket shuttle looms this coverlet features the shuttle woven return selvage edges seen on antique coverlets.
100% cotton warp with 100% wool filling (weft) yarns
Standard/Queen size coverlets throws measure approximately 100" wide by 84" long overall. Made of two panels.
A Finished Coverlet is either two or three panels machine sewn together along their length and machine hemmed at both ends. It will be ready to use when you receive it.
A coverlet kit
consists of two panels of coverlet fabric which have not been not
pre-shrunk, and natural thread to stitch the pieces together and whip
stitch the cut ends to prevent fraying. This is a great choice if you
would like your finished coverlet to be hand sewn.
