This kit includes the cut leather pieces needed to make a .58 caliber C.S. cartridge box. Copied after the U.S. 1857 .58 caliber cartridge box. This pattern box was designed for use with either waist belt or shoulder strap suspension.

With this kit you can make a generic .58 caliber Confederate cartridge box suitable for use throughout the war.
